Psychological Benefits


At the conclusion of an extended program a gymnast should demonstrate:

  1. The joy of movement mastery.

  2. Discipline and self control.

  3. The exercise habit as a pleasurable daily occurrence - movement is pleasurable and desired.

  4. A confident self image and a positive attitude towards their bodies - move from a world of "I can't" to "I can."

  5. Trust in one's own abilities.
